Another Specialty Win! Alberta Sporting Hound Assoc.  2007
2007 LDC Specialty - Finishing with 3 specialty wins in 4 weeks

2007 ECDC Specialty 2007 HOA Specialty

Eng/Am/Can/Int'l/ Irish CH Jympems Houdini At Garbosa - "Josh" Brindle, d.o.b. 8-30-03
Thanks ever so much to Linda Brown (www.garbosa.fsnet.co.uk) for sharing  Josh with us.
May 2008 UPDATE - Josh has completed his ENGLISH CHAMPIONSHIP! Well done Josh and Linda. We believe that Josh is currently the only Longhair Miniature Dachshund to have BOTH his UK and American titles. A wonderful achievement for a wonderful little dog!

Aug. 2007 FLASH - Josh has completed his Canadian Championship! Thank you judges Thomas Nesbitt and John Wade.

June 2007 Josh has finished his American championship in fine fashion with a 5 point major at the Lincolnland Dachshund Club specialty show in St. Louis. Thank you to judge Mr. Daryl Turner. In May Josh went to Canada. At the Eastern Canada Dachshund Club Specialty show Josh was awarded Miniature Best of Breed and Best Opposite Sex in Specialty. Thank you to judge Dr. Ron Spritzer.  Also in May, Josh was Winners Dog at the Heart of America Dachshund Club specialty show. Thank you to judge Mrs Elaine Mathis. Josh went Winners Dog at both of the all breed shows the next 2 days as well. Those judges were Mr. Eugene Blake and Mr.Thomas Kilcullen. And starting off this 6 week whirlwind tour of winning was judge Mr. James Briley, who had my favorite comment,"He's a showy little rascal, isn't he?" Thank you to all the judges for these wonderful wins. All of Josh's wins here and in Canada have been owner-handled.  We're very proud of Josh. He will continue to be busy completing the rest of his Championship titles, and of course, siring our upcoming "promising stars".

We appreciate the wonderful reception Josh has received during his brief and brilliant career here in the States.  Following is an excerpt from the 2007 ECDC "Teckle Tales", regarding Josh, by the  ECDC Specialty's judge, Dr. Ron Spritzer.
"The essence of the Dachshund is a good keel and long ribbing, which gives lung room and helps the topline and underline.  I did have a beautiful open dog which had all the attributes that I look for:  good movement, coat, keel and topline;  I took him to Best of Opposite in Specialty."

A few of the many positive comments we have received about Josh:
"He has more keel."  Judge Sulie Greendale-Paveza
"A very fine dog."  (Major Win)  Judge Ramon Valenzuela Podesta
"Beautiful, beautiful boy."  (Specialty Major Win)  Judge Dr. Ron Spritzer
"Showy little rascal..."  Judge James Briley
"A beautiful dog."  (Specialty Major Win)  Judge Daryl Turner
"This is an excellent dog." (Specialty Win) Judge John Wade
Thank you. We think so too!
Josh is tested genetically CLEAR for PRA. He produces red, cream and brindle of both colors. Our cream bitch, CH Valor Dachs Andromeda (Rommie) was bred to Josh. So far there is a Versatility qualified Dual Champion dog, another dog & bitch needing only majors and a major pointed bitch.
